KFSC Funders

KDADS's mission is to Protect Kansans. Promote Recovery. Support Self-Sufficiency. Our project team has been awarded a 2-year grant to contribute to the Home and Community Based Service (HCBS) Behavioral Management Training Pilot program. Through this project we aim to serve Kansas families who qualify for or are on the waitlist for HCBS waiver services (Autism Waiver, Intellectual/Developmentally Disability Waiver) in support of children and youth with autism, intellectual, developmental, or other disabilities and behavioral support needs who may be at risk of out-of-home placement. To provide impactful support, KFSC will deliver education, training, referral services, and one-on-one services to families, caregivers, providers, and professionals who are involved with this population of children.

DCF oversees the delivery of social and care services to some of Kansas most vulnerable community members serving over 500,000 Kansans. Our project team has been awarded a 2-year grant to establish and implement a family resource center focused on supporting biological and foster families of children with autism, intellectual, developmental, or other disabilities and behavioral support needs. KFSC has foster care centered services to provide education, training, and support to biological and foster caregivers as well as the professionals who work with them.

The Cigna Group Foundation focuses on making an impact on communities with an emphasis on addressing the Social Determinants of Health. Our project team has been awarded a 1-year grant to improve behavioral and mental health care for children in rural communities through implementation of a multi-tiered Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support model. KFSC will meet this goal through education, training, and individualized support for families and professionals in the stat of Kansas.
